The College of Technology offers basic level courses for IT professionals and others new to the wireless world, as well as advanced technical training for engineers in the convergent communications community.
Technology Overviews and Wireless Principles
Technology Overviews and Wireless Principles on Monday and Tuesday provide a good foundation for everything you need to know, with basic, ground-level education on everything from spectrum and licensing, a basic land mobile overview, narrowbanding 101, infrastructure and towers to satellites, P25, radio over IP and 4G networks. Learn the terminology and broad concepts that will be addressed in more detail over the next three days of the IWCE Conference.
Technical Tutorials
Technical Tutorials are for engineers, managers and supervisors. These advanced courses on wireless backhaul, network design and advanced wireless engineering provide in-depth training, technical reviews and real-world implementation.
"You always know IWCE will provide you with the opportunity to see the new technologies that vendors and developers are anxious to show, but one of the biggest benefits to attending IWCE is running into the large number of spontaneous discussions at booths. Many of these discussions...Address solutions to the same situations you face at home." -Bill Brown, Radio Manager Department of Transportation | |
