Chris Baker is the Division Chief of Training at the Boulder CO Fire Department. After retiring as a career battalion chief/paramedic and investigator with the Roseville (CA) Fire Department with assignments in operations, investigations, technology, homeland security, and safety, Chris then served as a senior public safety advisor U.S. Department of Commerce First Responder Network Authority before returning to the municipal fire service. Chris has led various public safety technology projects, held operational and communications roles on large incidents and incident management teams, and engineered and operated cellular networks across the U.S. while training engineers and developing wireless testing tools in private industry.
Chris holds a BS in electrical and electronic engineering and Juris Doctor. He is a COML, registered Professional Engineer, member of the CA Bar, and member of the IWCE Advisory Board.
